The boat of the Centre de Surveillance de la Biodiversité (CSB), HB UNIKIS, used for the ‘Boyekoli Ebale Congo 2010’ expedition, was involved in a recent accident that took place while it was under rental to a commercial transporter.
The boat was seriously damaged and is now docked at the Kisangani port. The UNIKIS has filed a legal complaint and the renter will have to pay for damages. Unfortunately, the vessel will be out of commission for quite some time.
